Is diocesan controller, Karen Jassoy, any relation to Robert K Jassoy, attorney fighting release of edophile priest files?

By City of Angels

This just in: "“When Katzman, the trustee, noted that an annual audit of church finances last June omitted $38 million in stocks and bonds that were listed in the bankruptcy papers, the (San Diego) diocesan controller, Karen Jassoy, responded...." Uh, does anyone hear the sound of attorneys bouncing up against each other with conflicting interests? Here is the letter Debra Bodkin faxed to Robert K. Jassoy in San Diego today.

Dear Mr. Jassoy: I am a public advocate for survivors of sex crimes committed by employees supervised by religious institutions, their families and mandated reporters. Apparently, there is an ex parte hearing scheduled for tomorrow, as referenced above. As a concerned Catholic wife, mother and American citizen, you have the duty to conduct your legal representations of “Specially Appearing Individuals” and the San Diego Diocese, as an officer of the court, free of any and all financial, religious, personal and/or government conflicts of interest.

However, after reviewing an article in the LA Times relating to the Diocese of San Diego financial records, which was published on April 21, 2007, the following information appeared in the article: “. . . When Katzman, the trustee, noted that an annual audit of church finances last June omitted $38 million in stocks and bonds that were listed in the bankruptcy papers, the diocesan controller, Karen Jassoy, responded: 'In light of everything, I don’t believe that the June 30 statements are correct.'"

Based on the fact that the San Diego Diocesan controller has your last name, it appears you should immediately withdraw your legal representations of the Diocese of San Diego and “Specially Appearing Individuals” to avoid an appearance of any conflict of interest in a court of law. It is imperative that all steps to prevent further irreparable harm to the parties involved, which are inevitable based on judicial abuse and/or legal conflicts of interest, be resolved before tomorrow’s hearing.

Please provide the Judge with a copy of this letter at tomorrow’s hearing. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on my cell at (949) --- ---- during my safe train ride home, between 5:15 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Sincerely,

Debby Bodkin

Here is the original lead paragraph City of Angels wrote but got timid with:

Uh, does anyone hear the sound of attorneys bouncing up against each other with conflicting interests? As they line up to represent Catholic Church criminals and dip into that bottomless briefcase of cash that is always there - thanks to the brainless mob's tithings that is always there thanks to that lie the Church tells you from birth that they are the only church, so you will keep giving them money to pay their attorneys?

Onward. . . I gotta get back to my job. . .
